These people are from a community of bhantu in northern africa and as they were brought to india as slaves their condition wasn't normal like the local ones because of their skin color And the communication problem but as they were being brought to india continuously they adapted according to the of the new continent required and also got help of others who were here in india for years And those merchants , sailor who came to here their life was a little affected by these slaves current condition but in the course of time these people got some power and authority from the king regiment Rankin but it was only a few members of the community were given previlages but a huge number was living into the misery and disrespect and by the eighteenth and nineteenth century when the slavery custom was abolished by british those who were a slave ran into Forested area fearing of recapture and torture and lived there in obscurity but recently they were brought to light by some Socialists but still there is a question how did they get this siddi name for their community but for this there are many things can be presented As a reference

Preservation of the culture and tradition of the community
The community has a long history and they have tried to preserve their culture and tradition by marrying within the community in order to preserve their ethnicity they are not allowed to marry out of their community And its not like if any member of the community marries into another religion or community he will be killed if anyone does it they will not be counted in one of them within the community as siddi again
Religion
They are not like from a separate different religion group , among them some believe in Christianity and some in allah and the rest of them in Hinduism
